war has started....

and so it does... by now, I guess most of the students would have taken at least one paper already. This year, due to the increase in the amount of students, there is an additional exam timing which is at 5pm. This is an expected outcome of a small head trying to wear a big hat. More students in the school would mean more people at canteen, more people taking bus, more people going to the library. And although there are so many "more", other factors of production stays the same. Yes I am refering to the same number of stalls in the canteen, same number of busses going around the school, and that library sitting sluggishly on top of the canteen. Even the uncle selling chicken at the market know that if there is an increase in the people, he would have to get more chicken and more importantly, expand his little puny stall and hire more people so as to cater to the influx of customer. But apparently not all people know this simple theory... sadly.

Taking exams is like going to war. Why is that so? Going to war there will be many soldier, there are weapons and usually the weapons do not give the owner enough confidence at all. However, a handful of the soldier will be flying planes and driving tanks. They are like the scholars in the school, who deal maximum damage but using minimum effort. Although we studied the enemies' pass year method of attacking, they never fail to amaze us with new tactic every year. That is the reason why soldiers hate about going to war. Either alot of people died and win the war and the result is enjoyed by the elite people. Or alot of people died and lost the war. Either way, the fact is that alot of people died..... every single day, blood are spilled and cries can be heard. In the morning 9 to 12, afternoon 2 to 5 and the last attack before sunset which is at 5. Some unlucky people will have cock up schedules which they have to fight 3 times a day. or 1 time everyday for 3 days. Tiring sia...

Taking about preparation, some people choose to go the library and polish their weapon and load the magazine together with other soldiers. Some prefer to go home and spend time with their loved ones, while some other prefer to stay in the bunk in the camp and go practise with their friends. One good practise spot I would recommend is mac at king elbert park. Sitting at a secluded place along bukit timah road, there are usually not many people in the evening. However, in the afternoon, waves of students will be poured into the restaurant after school. This is due to the concentration of schools along the road. So the best time for us soldiers to go polish our gun is around 8+ pm, just after dinner. The people there don usually care if you go cold storage and get urself one big drumbstick or 1 big box of sushi and eat it in the restaurant.

Usually at the times of war, people will yearn for preceful life, and the little joys that comes with it. Well this is life I must say, when in a situation that one cannot change, one tend to think of the good things and hope that it will make the process more endurable. However, there are some exceptions where one actually liked the war. But those are rare. Anyway, I have a simple advice for all the soldiers taking the war. "Do keep that bandage which you like best in the left pocket of your uniform. For in times of need, they are the ones that will save ur life."
